It is being confirmed from some of the leading GIC (Guaranteed Investment Certificate) provider banks, Scotia & ICICI & sources that immigration Canada is planning to increase GIC amount in student application from current 10,000 $ to 20,000 $ and this is being proposed to start from 01 April 2019, as per our understanding all student visa applications lodged after this date should have paid new amount and the GIC certificate of 20,000 $ will be needed, we are carefully watching the updates and if we get more information on this will be sharing the link in days to come.
